To modify a room type

Select the Room Type Manager icon. The Room Type Manager dialog box opens.

Click the Project button located in the upper left corner of the Room Type Manager dialog box. Project room types are listed on the Building types tab. These are read writable (do not have a lock icon).

From the Building types tab, select the room type you want to modify. The selected room type’s data is displayed on the right side of the Room Type Manager dialog box.

Expand the room type’s Constructions data panel to view the construction layer definitions for the room type walls, partitions, floors, etcetera.

Change the Wall construction from the default to one of the available types on the drop-down list.

Note: The default construction is defined for the project on the Defaults Manager: Constructions panel .

Expand the room type’s Occupancy data panel to view the occupancy data such as the number of people the room will be populated with, their activity type and schedules, body latent and sensible values, etcetera.

Enter the number of people in the field provided.

Select the activity type the people that reside in the room will typically be undertaking.

Note: The activity type automatically sets the Body latent, Body sensible and Convection values based on established data and guidelines.

Save the modifications to the room type by selecting the OK button located on the lower left corner of the Room Type Manager dialog box. Selecting the OK button applies all the room type modifications and closes the Room Type Manager dialog box.
